Samuel mentioned a video in Youtube about the doppler effect, and there are actually many. These are two I found interesting but you may find lots of others. Make comments on anything new to you, what it made you think of, other examples, whatever ...Doppler Effect: sound and water as samples.
Red shift and galaxy movement.

Hi!
About The Doppler Effect:
I found the text really interesting. It is really exciting to know that we could experiment this phenomenon ( the example of the car) if we were used to travel with higher speeds ( something that is not a good idea :)). Also I will be interested to know if the is any web page were i can found a real picture of the red/blueshift, im really curious and it will be very nice for me if i could look how it looks like !!!! byee!!!
Noe, Fabiana and Gustavo:
Yes, the two videos give us a better picture of what the Doppler Effect is all about. It is amazing how one can find such interesting videos in Youtube and so much garbage there too, isn´t it?
Fabiana, I have no idea if there are real pictures of the shift caught by Nasa or any other of the spatial instruments that are sent to space. We might read about it later on. ;)

Hi M. Alejandra, Kelwin, José R., Ma. Fernanda, Sonia, Tony, Brickel, Samuel, César and Adriana,
I also thought these two examples showed the concept of the doppler effect in a clearer way by means of examples we commonly find in our daily lives. I am glad it helped you understand the idea in a much better way.
Thanks, Kelwin, for the links on doppler ultrasonography which is probably based on the same concept (frequency waves). It is noninvasive, harmless, painless and quite effective. Thank God.
hii!.. well i think that both videos were very interesting.. i think both make that this phenomenon that i feel is so abstract easily to understand..
but there is something that isnt clear for me.. i mean, can you actually see the blue light and the red one? i understand that yes because of the example of the cow jej but i am not sure..
and alsoo!.. i was remembering about the costume of the guy from the tv show "the big bang theory".. i didnt get why it was black and white.. but now i get that he made the example of the sound! he did like the cars and the plane.. now i get it and i can laugh! jaj here is it:

Hello!
Well I really liked the two videos, both of them are very interesthing.
Its wonderful how the creators of the videos used those examples for the people to understand, now that I've seen it, I can finaly get the whole picture of the doppler effect phenomenon and the red shift.
Well, bye bye
XOXO
Good afternoon to everyone.
Just now watch the videos on youtube watch the videos on youtube mentioned two particularly caught my attention by the fact that one sample to explain the Doppler effect using the likeness of the sound on the other hand the second video explains the phenomenon of making a likeness redshift gives way to spread the sound of waves travez ... the two videos are excellent
Hola!
Hi there Valentina, Cristina, Brenda and Ma. Angélica:
I am glad you found the videos helpful. They certainly helped me, ha, ha!!! I am a very visual learner and if I see instead of hear, I understand much better. As you mentioned, the examples are from everyday life, which makes it easier to understand.
Thanks Valentina for including the episode of the BB TV show. I´ll go watch it as soon as I finish this comment.
C-U, Berta
hello! well, I couldn't hear the videos but I tried to interpret them. Well about Doppler Effect I believe Mr. Krampf was talking about how we can understand the doppler effect in the unierse through the sound of car approches or goes away and with the light of headlight, I think that we read in the departamental exam;now, in the part when Mr. Krampf was in a lake I would like to know that he was talking, but I could't hear.
well, about the video of what is a redshift? I think that Mr. Jarret was talking about when a object goes away us the wavelength spanding, but that we read in the class.
Good, Marianna and Solange, that you were able to visualize the doppler effect through this video.
Remember, Solange, you can always come to my office to listen to the videos or any other material we have in our class blog.
Holaa!!
Puedo percibirlo a diario!.. Chauu! IrisS.! =)
I saw this videos in week 2 or 3 and its help my a lot , i understand the Doppler effect by this videos and not by the explanations of the "reading selections" and understand the Doppler effect help my in the quiz and Departmental
