What´s wrong with this cartoon according to the theory of evolution, eh? They said Lamarck´s model was flawed, what does that mean?Solange mentioned she had found an article on a "Hobbit" fossil and I was puzzled and wanted to find out if this is just a nickname, like Lucy from the Beatles song "Lucy in the sky with diamonds" popular in 1974, for an Australopithecus fossil. Did "Lord of the Rings" have something to do with it because they found it in 2004 and the movie was on?
And who is this Taung child guy they keep mentioning in pages 81 and 85? Was Lucy discovered before or after him?

La caricatura muestra como fue la evolución del hombre. Los primeros hombres eran cuadrupedos y a medida que fueron evolucionando, estos fueron adoptando una postura erguida. Lo gracioso de la caricatura es que es un gran logro andar en dos piernas sin tocar el suelo con las manos, algo así como cuando andamos en bicicleta y no agarramos el volante!!!!

Taung child es el cráneo de un niño de seis años que fue descubierto por Raymond Dart en 1925.
Lucy fue encontrada en 1974 por Donald Johanson y es el esqueleto incompleto de lo que serìa una mujer australopithecus.

Well, about the Taung Child, it was found in 1924 in Taung, South Africa, and it was a young Australopithecus africanus. Lucy was discovered forty years later.
BTW Berta, I can't enter the page you put on the blog, but I found something about the latest fossil discovered in 2006, well it was discovered in 2003 and it was called Homo Floresiensis, also called "Hobbit". Here is the link:

La caricatura es muy buena porque muestra el verdadero logro que es andar erguido y no usar las manos en el suelo para apoyarse, además que fue así como nos separamos de los monos. Y con respecto a quien es taung child?, es el cráneo un niño Australopithecus encontrado en 1924 en Sur-Africa por Raymond Dart.
Con respecto al modelo de Lamarck y el porqué fue refutado se debe a que defendía la ortogénesis un concepto teológico y muy filosófico que planteaba la evolución lineal de los seres vivos. Realmente si ocurre una especie de "linealidad" cuando las condiciones medioambientales transcurren lento, pero no es correcto el uso de este concepto porque la misma teoría de la evolución de Charles Darwin logra ser consistente en este aspecto.
Por otra parte el "Taung", fue un fósil (un cráneo para ser mas específica) encontrado por el profesor australiano de anatomía Raymond Dart en el año 1924. Lo importante del hallazgo fue la forma y la base del cerebro, ya que se cree que pudo tener médula espinal y esto último indica que pudo caminar sobre sus dos pies.
la bipedacion es un hecho de adaptacion si mal no recuerdo la parte donde se llevaron estos cambios, fue en lo q hoy en dia es Africa del norte y no eexistia en esa sona como actualmente mucha precensia de arboles por esto esta adpatacion

creo que se refieren a que la teoría de lamarck tenía fallas ya que el decía que las jirafas al estirar su cuello para alcanzar los árboles estarían desarrollando caracteristicas que serían adquiridas por sus descendientes, es decir que estos serían altos y de cuellos largos como sus progenitores, lo cual no tiene sentido porque sería como decir que si una persona hace ejercicio y se pone en forma esto significaria que sus hijos heredarían un cuerpo en buen estado físico lo cual no es así.
Yo creo que la caricatura esta super fina. Que bueno el que la envio. Le da un toque especial a todo lo que hemos estado aprendiendo.

In the Flores Island the people have a leyend about this small beings and they call Ebu Gogo. The fact that this creatures was so small comparing with us call me the attention, in the principle the archeologists think that the skeleton was a boy but it was a adult woman. It is razonable because we descend of the apes and they aren't a specie tall. And Hobbit for me is a nickname like Lucy and Ebu Gogo for the inhabitants of Flores Island.
Respect to the question about who was discovered first, the Taung child was discovered en 1925 and Lucy in 1974. And the Taung Child is other fosil

Es una caricatura bastante comica, pero tambien nos ayuda a observar ese momento en la evolucion del hombre, en la cual logra pararse y dejar de ser cuadripedo. En cuanto al Taung Child, no voy a acotar mas nada, porque ya todo el mundo lo hizo! XD

hi! this cartoon is wrong according to the evolution theory, first, the man needed to adapt with the enviroment so that he can become bipedal and begin to speak. Second, human body had certain characteristics apelike as. they had maore hair in all body, their skull was flat, and among others. third, they yet didn't wear clothes.
About why the Lmarck's model was flawed, because his theory was based in two principle: first, he said that being adptation was a as result their contact with the enviroment; and second, he said that acquired characteristics were inherited, which was proved tha is false, and he didn't kwon about genetic information that is a important factor.

yo creo q se ha dejado pasar a lo largo de la historia la importancia de lo que es para nosotros el poder ser bipedos, a mi personalmente me parece algo extremadamente beneficioso ya q nos da muchas facilidades motrices y nos diferencia de lo q son la masa general de los animales
Jajaja lo q me da mas risa es como los dibujaron… bueno y estoy de acuerdo en q si trata de reflejar la superación del hombre en su evolución, cuando paso a caminar y a realizar todas sus actividades sobre sus dos piernas.. al ver eso se me ocurrio una pregunta estupida: quien seria el primero en ponerse de pie ?, o quizás serian varios ayudandose para tratar de poner de pie, porq por primera vez debio ser difícil.
la imagen nos muestra como falla la teoría de Lamarck, la cual enuncia q sobrevive el mas fuerte y eso permite que los cuerpos se hayan desarrollado de acuerdo al contexto en que se encontraban
In the comic we can see that the personal success don't help the natural evolution of a specie , opposite to the Lamarck´s theory . But if we analyse the current world we can see that the Lamarck´s theory is right to the "social and cultural evolution" because the discovery of one person can change the live of the others
